I have wonderful, bright hard-working students. They reside in South Los Angeles and come from economically disadvantaged families. Our school provides most of the opportunities beyond the city block they live in. My goal is to collect enough books to pack our school library with interesting and culturally relevant literature to stretch their world. My ultimate goal is to earn field trips for my students to give them real-life experiences that will continue to expand their horizons.
