My students attend a public school in an area of California that has been challenged economically. Our school is small, nearly 100 years old, and a beloved landmark in the community. Our students are a diverse population with an equally diverse range of academic skills. The majority of the students in our elementary school are English as a second-language learners. Our small teaching staff is dedicated to maintaining high educational standards and supporting our students in every way possible for their success. The parents of the students are equally dedicated and invested in success as many attended the school themselves as children and are proud of our little school.
