We are in South Central Los Angeles. We are excelling and improving in all areas with the little resources we tap. This is an impoverished community that is hungry for positive change and influence. One of the things that students in my class look forward to is computer time. Students from other classes come during recess and lunch to work on our classroom computers. As educators, we are depending more and more on computers and the Internet to teach, however the teacher manuals, publishers, and government do not realize the hard, cold fact that some of us do not have a computer for students to use. Unless I make this priority we will continue to deprive needy students from a true shot at academic success.

About my class
