I have many students who just need to move while they work. Many times it can be distracting to others. It can even be unsafe, as I have had kids lean back in chairs to move and injure themselves when the chair tips to far. I want my students to be able to have that little bit of extra movement in a way that is both safe and not distracting to others. In first grade it is hard to sit still. I want to provide my students with an acceptable way to move while learning and engaging at the same time.
