My students are economically disadvantaged students who attend an urban Title I school in California. Some of my students are English Language Learners who are learning the nuances of the English language. Many of their parents are unable to take their child to the library due to work schedules or buy books at book stores because of limited incomes. Almost all of my students partake in the free or reduced meals provided by the school. They have a huge thirst for reading despite the different roadblocks they face.
