Doesn't every student love having their own school supplies! My students would be ecstatic to have their very own writing journal complete with pictures and stories. My students are ALL from high-poverty homes. Many of them speak English as a second language. It is difficult for them to get their hands on learning materials outside of school. They come to school to eat breakfast and lunch, to receive counseling services, and to get a meaningful education.
