My students live in a large metropolitan area. We are considered a high poverty school. A majority of the students come from a low socioeconomic background. The school makeup is about 60% Latino, 30% white, and 10% African American/Asian. We have a dynamic student body with many individual cultural differences. On any given day you can hear many different languages in the halls.
