Although we are a magnet school, 53% of our students are from low-socioeconomic homes. Parents send their children to our school for a better opportunity. Although we are a magnet school, we receive virtually no additional funding beyond that received by any other public school. Although we are a magnet school, only 17% of our students are in the Gifted and Talented program,yet our school still has high test scores. Our students are eager to learn and take pride in their work. I also have 8 English learners.
