Imagine yourself as an elementary student walking into a classroom filled with colorful canned goods, play money, and a cash register. Wouldn't it be wonderful not only to play store, but also be able to count the money yourself and make the correct change for your friends? Your support to this project will ensure students with special needs the opportunity to understand the value of money and learn valuable life skills to count money and make change for others. Students in the project (grades 1-5)will add and subtract using decimal numbers, understand the single unit of a coin, and learn how to add up a combination of coins by themselves.
