Students will use TynkerCAD and online computer aid design program to create a prototype of an object used to help people in our community. Using a cooperative learning approach, students will put their creative minds together and work on helping others. The best designs will be 3D printed and donated to the community that could use their product. Obtaining a 3D printer would allow each technology teacher in our school to keep one in their room. This way all students could see it print in action and their ideas come to life. We only have one for the building right now and not all kids can see how it works. I really feel they need to see this process to understand how their ideas come to fuition.
