My school is a Title I school with all students receiving free breakfast and lunches due to the low income status of their families. Many students lack the basic supplies for creative projects--glue, scissors, crayons--let alone supplies such as felt, pipe cleaners, or wiggle eyes. I want to let my third graders (8 and 9 year olds) be kids and create fun projects they might not otherwise get to do.
