My students are fourth graders in a large, urban public school in Illinois. They are primarily Hispanic, and many are English Language Learners. Students have a wide range of interests, but sometimes find it hard to access books on the subjects in which they are interested due to their reading levels. This is especially true of my students with learning disabilities. They love following characters through longer chapter books and they are engaged with many non-fiction topics.
