My students are bright, energetic 2nd Graders. They are very social and talkative. I had these students as 1st graders and looped with them to 2nd grade, which makes the connection between students and teacher very strong. Most of my students are Chicano but African-American, German, and Central American cultures are also represented in the classroom. My students attend an urban school where 99.9% of the school population qualify for free lunch. Their school is also quite large, accommodating nearly 1400 students in grades Pre-K-5th Grade.
