Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it, according to Winston Churchill. How very true. My students are eager to learn about the Holocaust & other genocides in world history. This is the first semester the class is being offered and I have the honor of teaching it. They have so many questions for me that I cannot always answer. One such question is how good people can do bad things. I want them to see "the other side of the story." I want them to hear the story of a former Hitler Youth to help them answer this question. Reading Parallel Journeys will help them do just that.
