My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Our school takes in the student housing of a local university as well as residenitial families. As a result we have an international population where there are many English Language learners. High rigor is a norm at our school which is challenging when your first language is not English. Differentiation of instruction is a must with such a wide range of abilities and backgrounds to address. In my class this year I have students who are Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, Tongan, Black, and Caucasian.
