US will be short 3,000,000 high skilled workers by 2018." National Math/Science Initiative. With this being my 10th year of teaching elementary students, I have decided to embrace a new challenge. I have been given an opportunity to be hired in as the 4th,5th, and 6th grade STEM science teacher. I will be working with over 70 students on a daily basis. This Indiana academy is a school wide title I school and has 80% free lunch and 21% reduced lunch status, 82% black, . 2% Hispanic, 3% white, and 13% multiracial and a very high percentage of first generation college bound students. In order to have programs available at this school, grants are needed. These types of programs have not been implemented into this schoo
