I feel this school year is flying by, and I would like it to slow down! It is due to the fact that this is one of the best groups of students I have ever taught in my seven years of teaching. They have such a desire to learn! My class consists of 19 bright kindergarten students. They always make me smile when they want to show me how well they know their sight words or when they even ask to practice spelling them! My students find reading fun and enjoyable. I hope to continue to instill this love for reading through these Tag Readers. Our school is located in rural Missouri where many students do not have a variety of local resources available to them. There isn't even a free local community library for our students to access! For some of my students, this is the first time they have been in a classroom setting since they did not attend preschool. For these students, it is even more important to provide a rich environment of literacy resources.
