My students are eager learners who love to explore the world around them. They are constantly engaged with the books, tools, and technology that fill our classroom, especially because many of them don’t have access to those things at home. The Bison look forward to coming to school each day and are always excited to contribute to our class community. My five and six year olds come back from each school vacation thrilled to be back in their classroom, and their parents often tell me how much they missed school while they were home. One of the many things that makes our class unique is that almost all of my students speak a language other than English at home, giving them an awesome opportunity to become bilingual. I strive to foster this in my class by providing an environment that is interactive and rich with opportunities for students to speak, listen, and engage with the English language.
