As a New York City Public School teacher, many different students come in and out of my classroom every year. I work very hard at meeting each and every one of their individual learning needs. In a class of 29 students many are English Language Learners as well as some students with special educational needs. In addition to many of these challenges I teach 6th graders. They are at a pivotal point in their growing lives. On the verge of becoming young adults many of them start to lose interest in the same learning techniques year after year. This can negatively affect them at such an important point in their education.
