I teach seventh-grade English-language arts at a high-needs school. Many of my students are English-language learners and students with special-education needs. Several of them are on a fourth to fifth-grade reading level, and in order to achieve our goal of two years' reading growth in one year, they need to be reading constantly--at home and in the classroom!
