This is a request for two iPads to be used with this group of inner city 5th graders to allow the teacher and/or students to interact in an untethered fashion. By untethering the instructional delivery, we hope to untether their learning experience! These iPads will be used with the current technology (no ipads in the current classroom tools) to help the teacher directly impact students as the teacher works with students and the class around the room. This "untethered" experience will be designed to correct errors, initiate assignments, notify students of exceptional work, and deliver digital instruction that will be more timely and helpful. A major emphasis for this equipment will be in the writing program and writing experiences we are planning to go through. By being untethered, the teacher will be able to be much more responsive to the needs of these insightful young scholars.
