I teach at a high poverty school in California. Most of my students in AP Environmental Science will be the first generation in their family to go to college. In fact, many will be the first member in their family to attend college. As part of the class I work hard to develop the critical thinking skills used in science and also to develop reading and study skills that will be crucial for college success.
