I teach fourth grade, a class of twenty-nine students. Our school is a newer school. We don't have very many math manipulatives and what we do have is shared between five teachers with about thirty students each. My students are on different levels in math and the manipulatives would help meet the needs of all learners. They would give students who aren't understanding concepts concrete and visual representation. They would provide learning practice that is hands on for every student and engage them in their learning. The manipulatives would help to challenge students by allowing them opportunities to explore why math concepts work.
