Last year my students were taught virtually. This year they are coming back to in-person but due to restrictions, they must maintain 3 feet apart at all times. Research suggests that students learn best when they are able to move around. Since moving is limited to their space, I believe that creating a flexible seating atmosphere would be best to better serve my students. First graders love to wiggle, therefore, its imperative that they have the option to move around. I know that these flexible seating options will help them concentrate better so that they can give their full potential in learning, creating, exploring and embracing the different challenges they might encounter during the school year. Please help me fund this project.
