I am a 7th grade science teacher working in a public school. I have 110 energetic students that are eager to learn. As a science teacher that needs to prepare students for 21st century learning, I must remain on my toes to ensure that my students are understanding the concepts that we are learning while ensuring that their learning is hands-on and prepares them for this technological-driven world. The dance is worth it when I see their eyes light up during experiments and hands-on activities. Learning does not occur by showing students some vocabulary words and concepts in a book that they cannot relate to; it occurs when they see the vocabulary and concepts in action.
