I am a Collaborative and Special Education teacher embedded with our school's Math Department. Our students are a combination students who are; gifted, typical, 504 education support plan, and students mild/moderate special education students. Our classes have between 40-100% students with 504s or IEPs. The vast majority of our students are enrolled in College Prep courses for mathematics, regardless of disability, to give them access to the Least Restrictive Environment. Our Math curriculum is highly respected, challenging and designed to prepare students for a minimum cal-state acceptance and my primary job is to ensure that ALL students can make progress academically on an individual level while working with grade-level content.
