I teach in the largest school system in my state. My school is a Title I school which means 50% or more of our students are on free and reduced lunch. We have a diverse group of students which really makes our school unique. We have a large population of ESL students. Since I have been in SIOP training for ESL students, my classroom encompasses a divers group. My students are typical 3rd graders who love to be active while learning. I allow my students to complete most of the day in centers and cooperative learning groups. I believe this helps to keep them engaged. Since students are engaged in peer learning, the document camera will only help to add to student learning. My parents love to volunteer in anyway possible but are limited on extra funds for classroom supplies. This document camera will help allow my hands-on-learners to spread excitement of new concepts!
