My fourth graders attend the largest high-poverty school in Louisiana. Our school serves about 900 students, 93% of which qualify for free and reduced lunch. Over a quarter of our students are learning English. I teach two ELA classes a day and work with a total of over 60 children. My students are some of my most favorite people. They are curious, caring, and eager to learn. I wish everyone had the opportunity to meet them! Most of my donorschoose projects serve one of two purposes: 1) to increase our classroom library size and put more books in the hands of students 2) to provide students with opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have at school (to perform science experiments, learn typing, create art, etc)
