My students approach life with the enthusiasm and curiosity that all five-year-old children seem to have in abundance. Despite living in a low socioeconomic area where their parents struggle to make ends meet, they are incredibly hopeful and looking forward to the future. Their parents want the best education possible for them, but due to financial constraints, many cannot afford to have many books or technology at home. It is up to me and the school to provide these wonderful, amazing, eager, and bright kids with a wide selection of literature and technology to enjoy. We are a Title 1 school, which means that we do get funds to improve the academic achievement of the disadvantage, but not enough to provide every classroom with a well stocked classroom library and much less with LeapFrog Technology. These kids will be our future leaders. They deserve to have their curiosity fed through literature and technology. The LeapFrog Tag Technology is a great tool to go about it.
