My students are a culturally mixed group of first graders that are learning through a dual language program. They consist of Spanish and English dominant backgrounds, and the majority are part of the free lunch program. They learn 50% of the time in English and 50% of the time in Spanish. They attend a school for grades 1-3 in the district. My students are curious, funny, lively, and a true joy to teach. In just 2 months of school, I have already seen a lot of academic growth and am looking forward to seeing how much more they will grow.
