I have the opportunity to work in a wonderful Magnet Academy, which offers a rigorous academic program designed to provide a challenging curriculum for all students by incorporating the arts and technology as powerful tools to connect and enrich all areas of learning. My tutorial classroom serves special needs students ranging from the sixth grade to the eighth grade. Teaching is based on the premise that all students can learn, despite any obstacles in their path. For that reason, my students receive instruction and support both in the resource room and in the general education classroom. All students receive an educational program that encompasses the goals and instructional strategies outlined in his/her Individualized Education Program (IEP). I work very hard to help each child complete all of his/her educational as well as personal goals.
