My students are a diverse high-needs group, ranging from Kindergarten to 5th Grade and hailing from Mexico, El Salvador, Yemen, the Caribbean. Their parents work hard, are supportive, yet don't have the disposable income to often spend on a Drama program. My mission: I will give my students as many learning tools, field trips, pieces of technology, costumes, props, scripts, lighting, set pieces, school plays, books, music scores, and theater experiences as possible. I firmly believe that with enough support, hard work, and community involvement, there is absolutely no reason my students shouldn't have the same Theater Arts opportunities as those living in more economically advantaged neighborhoods. With your help, these high-needs Urban Learners can experience REAL and AUTHENTIC Drama and Theater Education. Help develop a new generation of thoughtful, literate, and creative urban youth by contributing. Thank you!
