I teach in a public Montessori school in an urban district. My students are kindergarten through eighth graders with disabilities receiving special education resource room services. I am blessed to have many hands-on materials to make content clear to my struggling students. I lack the kind of technology, however, to really bring learning alive to my students. Our school has a couple of document cameras and projectors that can be borrowed, but they are often hooked up in general education classrooms and difficult for me to get my hands on, especially for spontaneous learning that often occurs in a classroom. I also am a host teacher several afterschool groups such as Math-r-Rama, Debate, and Extended Day. These students would also benefit from these materials in my classroom.
