Have you ever been told that you are a failure? Have you ever felt like you just didn't fit in? Did you do things you know were wrong just so you could fit into a group? Have you ever broken the law and been kicked out of school? Are you unloved and unwanted by your parents? This is who I teach. My students are in a new alternative school with one last chance to earn a high school diploma. Many are approaching 20 years old and this is their final chance. I like to think I can offer them hope. Show them what it is like to have someone 'believe' in them and prove to them that they too can read and write to reach their ultimate goal...GRADUATION!!
