Our school is a rural Pennsylvania school, that serves children in grades K-6. The building is divided into two halves: one that is for grades K-4 and the other that hosts grades 5-6. Students are encouraged by members of the entire educational community. We strive to ensure that all the students in our educational community feel supported and cared for. Everyone, from the teachers to the support staff, bus drivers, custodians, and administration take part in this program. Our building is also home to the district's autistic support and life skills classes. Even though our school is not diverse racially, we do have diversity in ability levels and backgrounds. Many of our families are struggling financially due to job cuts and difficulties that farmers face. Small businesses are also having trouble staying open. This is a very close-knit community, where people tend to adhere to common values and have a great deal of patriotism. We have great community support for our schools.
