Having all-day access to technology in my classroom gives me the flexibility to provide learning experiences tailored to my students’ needs. I have a wide range of reading levels in my classroom and 9 of my students are learning English. These iPads will help me provide them with programs to boost their foundational reading skills as well as develop vocabulary. Older students are so motivated by technology! Struggling readers who are embarrassed and reluctant to engage are excited to be able to use these iPads. They will be allowed access to fluency reading programs that meet their specific learning needs and provide text at their level. We will also use them for vocabulary games and translation for my English Language Learners. Being able to use technology gives me so many tools to help me challenge and engage my students.
