In my district, only 37% of the high school graduates leave high school with the required classes to attend a state college. My classroom is designed for students with a variety of language challenges, ranging from Autism and Auditory Processing Disorder to fluency and articulation disorders. This is my fourth year in this challenging district and I love every moment with my students, despite the difficulties of teaching in an urban area. Part of who we become as adults stems from our experiences as children. It is so important that children have the opportunity to experience rich educational activities throughout school curriculum, including (but not limited to) math, science, and reading classes. You can share this experience with children by supporting them through my projects.
