I've never come home from a day of teaching this group of second grade students and not had a story to tell. This is a very diverse group of strong personalities and strong wills. They are across the board academically with several second language learners. Our school is uniquely tiny for a public school. We are a Title One school which means we are considered a high poverty school where many students receive free or reduced lunch. We are certainly feeling the effects of the budget cuts. However, our students, parents, and staff are very exceptional and hard working and we take great pride in the fact that we were awarded the National Blue Ribbon honor.
