I teach third grade in a small elementary school in North Carolina. My class currently has 18 students, 8 boys and 10 girls. My students are all delightful individuals who each bring something very special to our class. They all have varying ability levels and benefit strongly from hands-on activities. I teach in a community that is centered around a military base. Several of my students have one or more parents in the military and will experience parent deployments during this school year. Students often transfer in or out of the school as parents change duty stations, so many students have already changed schools two or three times. Several of my students are reading below grade level. Our school is small, and like so many schools, our resources are slim. I appreciate any support you are willing to give towards this project.
