My students come to STEAM (STEM with the arts infused) in The Maker Space at our school. I see all 400 students each week. Students have access to technology, old and new: from computers and tablets to tape and glue, paint, drills, saws and tape measures! Many of my students live in poverty and do without the basic needs. In my classroom I strive to enrich the environment making it visually pleasing and comfortable and provide access to technology and materials to ensure each student develops the 21st century skills that will allow them to be ready for all our world has to offer.
