Sharing student work is important for many reasons. I take time to display my students' work. When we write about our work and explain our thinking, we deepen our understanding. When we see how others think about problems, we make connections. One of my big goals this year at the Hmong Academy is to make mathematics visible. In the halls and on the lockers, you'll see evidence of students at work. You will see photos of students engaged in hands-on activities. And you will see examples of students who are excited about math!
