I have a 5th grade class of amazing students. They are enthusiastic about learning; they love coming to school each day anxious to see what fantastic activities they will be doing and learning about. Our city is trying to get over the devastation of an EF5 tornado just a few months ago that destroyed one third of the city. Some of my students had families that lost all they had, but these kids come to school with determination to "seize the day." They strive to get all they can out of each day whether in the classroom or specials such as music, art, library, or physical education. They enjoy doing their research and projects on the computers. They work on Web Quests, Podcasts, and PowerPoint presentations to enhance their learning. They are an inspiring and awesome group of 5th graders.
