Our students are constantly overcoming great disadvantages. Our school is on the campus of a mental health treatment center, and our students are away from their families and are at a school with very few resources. There are only two special education classrooms on campus, but we see many students every year. Students come to our school for a short time while they are in treatment, and are often able to function better than they ever have before. They discover hidden talents like reading, and build their self esteem.

About my class
