The books that I have selected are culturally relevant and I want my students to be life-long readers and higher order thinkers as well. The broad-range of books that will bring deep and introspective "Ah Ha" moments to my students. Students will be able to engage in intellectual conversations through Socratic Discussions. They will see the world from different perspective and they will value the diversity as well. Inevitably they will become life-long readers and who knows, perhaps writers as well. Reader's workshop always challenge students to become thinkers; my hope is they will become doers as well. Thanks much
