I have been teaching high school for the last 9 years, first as an English teacher and now as a resource specialist. I believe teaching is both one of the most rewarding and one of the most difficult jobs there is. I am in awe daily of the amazing staff and students I work with at Leadership. Despite difficult circumstances, our small school community continues to persevere in its mission to provide an excellent and equitable education to San Francisco youth. Urban schools today are even more challenged due to the difficult economic times and devastating cuts to education--this makes Donor's Choose and its donors an even more essential resource.
