My 26 first graders are eager learners and highly curious about everything. This is the age when they begin to think less about themselves and more about the world around them. My students attend a public elementary school in California that encourages family involvement. The student population at our school is highly diverse and it houses several innovative academic programs. Funding is tight and support is needed.
