My 2nd grade class is a bright and enthusiastic group of students who love school! While some of our families are fortunate to be able to provide their child with regular reading opportunities, many are not. Over 1/3 of my 24 students are English language learners and our school is considered high poverty, with over 50% receiving free or reduced lunch. For many of my students, their only regular exposure to reading is in the classroom. No matter their individual instructional level, all of my students are fortunate to belong to a school community that is committed to supporting their success as a reader.

About my class
