We are a New York Public School. We have special needs children working alongside general education students. Most of these students only get to experience planting and gardening in our garden. This program serves many purposes: It teaches children where their food comes from; It shows them how to care for plants without pesticides; It shows children other career options; and finally gives them life skills.
