I became a teacher because I was certain there were more engaging practices to educate students then what many students were experiencing. I found a unique school that shared my philosophy of teaching through the arts. Our school enriches the lives of students, many of whom come from extreme poverty. Unfortunately, every year I am working with fewer resources. North Carolina is 49th in the nation in what it pays to educate its students. I need help getting materials for my class so every student can be engaged with hands-on learning.
