"Can I use the computer?!" is often the first question my 5th-8th grade students ask when they enter my special education classroom. I teach middle school-age students with learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, and behavioral disabilities. The majority of our school's students are considered low-income and receive free or reduced lunch. The student body is composed of 61% Hispanic, 13% African American, 12% Asian, and 8% Caucasian students.
